Toadlilies Ugly? I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Zones 4 to 8 and they like consistent moisture. I'd think your location would be pretty good for them.
I forgot to mention the Zebra Mallow. They're not quite hardy here but always self sow. They're quite showy right now. Oh, and spiderworts have come out of their summer slumber to bloom again. Looking good.
