OHHH...I tell you all this....I will NEVER, EVER let my garden get this bad again. The Bermuda grass is so thick in one of my gardens...I can only do small sections at a time..and I have to dig everything up to pull the grass roots out from under the plant roots. I got a long thread of Bermuda yesterday and was standing up....leaning over to pull it...and it started zipping out of the ground really fast and I fell backwards....and landed on my zinnias!!!! UGHH.
As for books on grasses and weeds...I have never actually seen one. I'm just one of those that pulls it if it doesn't look like it belongs there. Unless of course it's interesting, then I'll watch and see what it does before I yank it out.
