Hi Pam,
Kinda different to have the "dirt" on the school teacher across the road,
LOL.
I have a couple of people around here that I get onion plants for each
spring.  They can't understand why my onions average the size of soft balls,
and their's are more like golf balls.  I've tried to explain that onions
need food; they just don't get it.  Their soil (dirt) is gumbo, compacted
and low in nutrients; just can't make them understand.  Rich in Z-5 where we
got another 1/4" of rain today.
