Donna, my sister flys regularly betwn LA and NY and frequently stops here in
betwn. She says Des Moines airport has the tightest security. Hard to
She was also in NY in the black out however she paid a premium but got a
ride to her hotel so she spent 2 days in darkness and retnd to LA as quickly
as she could get out.
Glad you had a good time in KC.

Melody, we got rain also, not quite as much and the first measurable since 5
July. We got 1" on Friday and just less than .5" on Sat. A friend and I went
to Waterloo on Friday and could easily tell the area around Marshalltown had
much more as there was water standing in the fields & road side.
We went to Waterloo to the Grout Museum where there is a great applique
display. I was so surprised to see work of great professionals such as
Charlotte W. Anderson. The display is showing till 4 Jan 2004. One of my quilts is
included in the display. If you happen to get to that area it is worth a stop.
