Re: allergies

Me too! Benadryl makes me totally unconscious. Try a prescription allergy meds. Clarinex works for me with no side effects- but you'll have to try a couple to find the best for you.

Unfortunately my body doesn't do meds well. The lightest Benadryl knocks
me out for 12-16 hours. Even when I wake I'm too groggy to be very
sensible. Out of the question during the week since I get up at 4:30 and
leave here at 5:15.

Pam, whenever you know you'll have a morning that you'll need to be more

clear-headed, take a benadryl. It's very safe, helps you sleep and you'll

be clear in the morning. I'd never suggest taking somethin all the time,

but this is very safe and could come in handy.

Oh it's not too bad - just flooding sinuses in the early am - straightens

out in an hour or two. My baby is worth WAY more.

I am sure Cathy will have a better answer for you.... but they do have

shots you can take to help control and build up a tolerance to certain

allergies. I tried them but --duh!-- I was allergic to the shots! LOL!

The small dozes were ok, but when they got the meaty ones, arm would

just swell up for two/three days big time... so I gave up.

I believe I'm developing a cat hair allergy but it doesn't matter. I

will never get rid of this baby. She's been sleeping w/ me in the warm

weather, which she never did before this year. And I am waking up w/

flooding sinuses every morning. It's OK. I don't like it, but I will

live w/ it. Fortunately I'm not vain about my appearance because I'm

looking like crap in the mornings these days.
