Re: Hibiscus rosa-sinensis 'Moned' - Itsy Bitsy Red Hibiscus

Monrovia doesn't do mail order, But Palm Beach Growers [I think that's their name], which apparently is licensed to propagate it, might deal with one of florists in your area. Or you might strike a deal with them directly.

Thanks, Jim. I han't noticed the Monrovia pots at my local versions of
these stores, but we do have a few nurseries that carry them. I need
this hib for our MG Cottage garden for next yr and I hate just hoping it
will be available. That's one of the reasons I like mailorder. I realize
they can cancel on you, but if you order early, it is usually something
you can scratch off your list of things to do.

The box stores usually carry Monrovia plants. The two big producers are
Monrovia and Hines; I see both at Home Depot, Target, and Wal-Mart.

Does anyone know a source for this Hib? I see that Monrovia grows it,
but
am doubtful the 2 or 3 local nurseries that carry Monrovia plants will
have
it. Any way to get it mailorder? I won't need it until next spring,
but I
thought I should start looking.
