Re: Ivan, new targets?

One good thing is that my sister who lives in the area is a nurse and is
very aware of the support services. She has already been called in on one
of the hospital teams. She seems pretty assured that my parents are in
good hands. They will be evacuated to a local Jr. High with all the
supplies that are needed. I guess I feel as though they are in safer hands
than if we were trying to help them on our own. Local support services are
geared to assist hospitals, retirement homes, etc.

My husband and I just got back from attending the funeral services of the
21-year old son of one of his cousins who died in a boating accident in
rough waters caused by the last storm. I worry about the younger members
of the family as much as the old.
