30" rice paper leaf

Ceres and Gene,
I left my biggest cement rice paper leaf outside yesterday and last night
for the first time.  I didn't think anything could happen to it but this
morning after a light shower it has broken in 3 pieces.  It broke along the
spine... which was pretty deep.  I guess I should have made it thicker and
then not left it out?  What would you think I would need to do so that it
could stay outside?
