Re: New butterfly garden

It's about 100 miles [more or probably less] south of here. Kitty, there are lots of butterfly houses here. Most are some combination of greenhouse and screen house where butterflies are husbanded year round. The old Cypress Gardens tourist trap extravaganza had a very nice one. There is something over near Miami called "Butterfly World" that is touted as the Be All to End All.

Mostly, I think, it's our ambient climate. It allows raising many, many different butterflies with minimal manipulation of the thermostat.

How far is that from you Jim? Is that particular date a good time for
butterflies in your area? They would be gone from here by then. Saw
several beuaties this weekend.

Naples Botanical Garden is opening its new Butterfly garden to members
on October 21, general public on October 22. They promise "hundreds of
flying jewels." Sounds like a camera day to me. Think I'll go.
