Re: Orchid

In person, Libby, it's somewhere between pale lavender and pale indigo--there's a tad more blue than red in the darkest part. But whatever color, I'm just glad it adapted to life in a tree and bloomed.

Never ceases to amaze me what people throw away! Wonder how many orchids I would collect if I put a "wanted" message on freecycle? Wonder if I could afford the gas to do it...? Between and among all the patio-type trees on our patios--orange jasmines, ligustrums, hibiscus, Turk's cap--we have almost unlimited tree sites for them.

My monitor has it a pale lavendar, but it's lovely! Definitely worth rescuing.

It's pale indigo, Jim. Yeah, no tag. All of these "tree" orchids--maybe
10 or 12 altogether--were found and rescued from various dumps, trash
piles, and the like, mostly florist shop deliveries I suspect.

And it didn't come with a name, or the tag is missing ? Pity,
because on my monitor it looks nearly blue. Is it that way to
the naked eye ? No purple or red color underlying it ?
