I use Mozilla on a Mac. In that version, way up in what's called
the 'chooser', there is a series of dropdown windowlets named
 View->Sort by-> [and then a choice of] Date/Order received/Sender/Subject/Thread .
So you can view the array of unread/undeleted messages any way you please.
If you want to try one on Windows, I'd suggest you try [Mozilla] Thunderbird.

Oy. Netscape/Mozilla/Thunderbird/Opera have done that since day one,
and they all run on Windoze.
