RE: Calif fires


It would have to be REALLY bad for my house to be in serious danger. What
with all the development going up around us we are a couple miles from the
scrub now, not to mention the well-watered golf course between us and the
hills. I guess it could happen with a big fire and bad winds, but it's
unlikely. 
I was considering signing up to be one of those safe haven places for people
to send their horses to, I have the space plus a horse trailer, but in the
end it wasn't practical. If we got a call while we were at work it's an hour
to get home, then hook up the trailer...by the time we could get there to
help everything would be burnt.
