That is what I thought last year and woke up to a white cast on
everything as it dipped lower. Looks like I really didn't have to do
that this time..... although I don't know how much cold some of the
plants I brought in could take....
Like Marge's brugs.... can they take something in the high 30's - low
40's..... (which BTW, are blooming their fool feads off and are
gorgeous) also brought in a few other tropicals that I plan on
overwintering indoors for the winter.
Today I am going to clean up my office at work and make room for
plants......got to measure and see if that banana tree will fit in the
building.... it grew quite a bit and might be too tall since it is in a
pot.... What happens if you just leave the babies that are sprouted up?
Can it be left like that till next summer? One is already about a foot
tall...sigh.

Just checked and we are at 49F now. 10 day forecast shows low dip to 39F
tomorrow night, then up again. I won't bring any plants in for that; they
can handle it. Rain Fri thru Sun.

Fall is here in the midwest.... just brought many of my plants in the garage for the night as they are predicting 43 and colder in the outlying areas (that's me!). Does anyone else hate to loose plants this early in the season? Seems we always get one cold blast then back to warm weather for awhile. So this year, decided to try bringing some of the potted stuff in and see what happens.... next cold front, they are history.... Hoping this kills off the mosquito population.... or at least most of it.
