I have one in my dry garden although mine is not quite so colorful,
there's less contrast than you see in that photo. I've been thinking
about getting a couple more, the one I planted I put too far back and
the taller salvia clevelandii are blocking it from view. It doesn't
smell as bad as they made out (IMO) either - although I have to admit
that right after a rain the scent of all those salvias in my dry garden
is pretty powerful. Not nasty, but definitely there.
I'm trying to remember where I got it. Maybe Las Pilitas (mailorder) or
I might have picked it up at Theodore Payne nursery. I don't think it
was High Country Gardens.

Has anybody grown this ? Amazing color combo of red and blue; it appears
the buds start rose and the flowers turn blue with age.
