Life goes on. Squinty and I were just out picking key limes. That is, I was
picking them and she was keeping the lizards and such from attacking me. Key
limes tend to come ripe all at once and, unlike most other citrus, they do
not remain on the tree once ripe. As soon as they begin to turn yellow
[they're yellow when ripe], they fall. So it's often pick them or lose them.
Now I've got a bag of maybe 40 limes that I'll squeeze tomorrow and freeze
the juice.
