Ithink it is going to cause more wide spread damage instead of intenser (is
that a word?) smaller area.
 
In any case, my heart goes out to those effected.
 
BTW, they are predicting 4 inches of rain here due to Ike by Sunday... amazing
it will still have that much moisture left by the time it gets to northern
Illinois....

Just checked the Southern Mississippi Valley Sector radar. The eye,
which is huge, is right off Galveston. Never saw one with an eye this
big before--don't know what that portends, either, but it surely is
large.
