Have you thought about one of those "interior landscape" services that offices use? Don't know if they handle just one plant in one room, but if business is slow and they thought one room might lead to more...

Thanks for all the suggestions : )Since I really need this just to be automatic, one of the subscriptions will have to do. The Gardeners Supply one is significantly cheaper than the others- so definitely going to look into it more. Thing is, I really need every other month, so that one plant is ready to be tossed out before the next one comes. There is only so much window sill space in her room!Theresa sundrops@earthlink.net wrote:THeresa, also noticed the Gardeners Supply catalog has what they called "Living Plants," bulbs, sent monthly. www.gardeners.com However their 6-month offering is 6 months staring in Dec, not spaced thru the year. But seemed like a good option.--Barb ----- Original Message ----- From: "Donna" <gossiper@sbcglobal.net> To: <gardenchat@hort.net> Sent: Tuesday, September 16, 2008 3:03 AM Subject: Re: [CHAT] plant of the month clubHave you checked with the local nurseries/garden centers in her area? Something delivered rather than shipped will arrive in much better shape.Donna --- On Mon, 9/15/08, Theresa G. <macycat3@sbcglobal.net> wrote: From: Theresa G. <macycat3@sbcglobal.net> Subject: Re: [CHAT] plant of the month club To: gardenchat@hort.net Date: Monday, September 15, 2008, 10:07 PMYep- has to be plants, not flowers. They don't allow bouquets (additive in the water, easy to spill, glass vases, etc). I'm expecting all the plants to die- just hoping they'll make it for 2 months before the nextone comes.I checked FTD and they do have a plant club- but they won't send themevery other month.... Theresa sundrops@earthlink.net wrote:Theresa -- are you really set on a PLANT of the month club? You can set up with FTD Florist and 1800Flowers to send a bouquet monthly. Ithink at least one of these has an actual club too. I have beensending monthly (my choice, not prearranged)) to an elderly uncle andit's been working out great. He says they last 7-10 days. --Barb, Grass Valley CA ----- Original Message ----- From: "Theresa G."<macycat3@sbcglobal.net>To: <gardenchat@hort.net> Sent: Monday, September 15, 2008 3:22 PM Subject: [CHAT] plant of the month clubHi all- For Xmas this year I want to get my mom a plant of the month clubsubscription.
