Re: great blue

OK, I'll transplant some to the full sun area and see how they do. They sure are pretty.

MOBOT says full sun to pt shade and also shows moisture to be medium to wet. I guess my part shade was too big a part and maybe your wet area was too wet. It continues to say that it needs constant moisture. My sunny areas don't get constant moisture, but I'll see what I can do.

Mine are in full sun and stand up fine. They reseeded farther west which is a
very low spot where water collects, so at times it is a soggy mess there.
They seem to thrive there this year which I found interesting.

Lobelia siphilitica, Great Blue Lobelia.
I put 3 in in early spring 2008. They did sorta ok the first year, just
getting their legs. This year they are thick and full with lush blue flowers, but they are a floppy, twirly mess. Not like the pretty pictures of staight up spikes I see on the net. They are in part shade. Would they be more erect
in full sun?
