Peat Moss and Top Dressing

Does anyone in this august group know of any research that has been
completed in the past 20 years dealing with the use of peat moss as a top
dressing on lawns.  I am more interested in home landscapes than in
commercial sites such as golf courses and athletic fields.  But since most
research is done for the latter, I settle for any research I can get.
