Re: Cats on the compost pile joke

You don't have to like cats, but you don't have to make nasty jokes about them either.  I have a small farm which they keep clear of rats, mice, rabbits, moles, voles, etc.  And they eat a lot of cat food.  My gardens and fruit trees are just fine, thank you, I do compost cat litter from shavings, but it doesn't go out as fertilizer for 2 or 3 years.  I have never had a problem.  I grow organic, no sprays or chemicals, and my horses help out, so I normally don't have to buy fertilizer.  I feed the birds during the winter, and have very few bugs in the summer because they hang out and eat.  The cats don't eat the birds or the squirrels, just the ground rodents. And my cats keep the dog company.  Please keep your nastiness to yourself.
