Re: Martha Stewart's Column on Soil
I saw the column in my Sunday paper, too, and cringed. She loves
rototillers, for sure. And, yes, the column was full of bad info. As one
who lived in the swampy, steamy South where clay soil is present and the
water table is about 6 inches underground, I was especially critical about
her instructions for boggy and clay soils.
On a related subject, there is a product or several products that have come
to market in the last 3 years that supposedly break up clay soil. You
sprinkle this stuff on, and water. Anyone have experience with these
products? The one I tried didn't work, and it was VERY expensive.
