Re: types of soil
Very good points, Claude, particularly concerning attempting to
educate our readers as we entertain and encourage them.
I have often wondered why more gardening articles do not emphasize
taking advantage of wet areas. There are so many lovely plants who
demand continually moist soil, if not boggy conditions. Those of us
with fast draining soil or soil that gets very dry in summer have to
manufacture damp or boggy beds just to be able to keep plants like
Primula japonica alive and thriving.
