Re: First Aid in the Garden


Andrew -- one of the most important tools in the first aid kit is an 
up-to-date tetanus record. Gardeners can be subjected to the disease by 
handling manures, getting cut or punctured by metal, poked by a woody stick 
and other hazards. My doc, who is extremely conservative, recommends active 
gardeners have their tetanus shots up-to-day. I'd say it's most important if 
you handle a lot of manure from horses.
