Re: Popular Orientals
One may well be Lemon grass, Cymbopogon citratus. Several Asian cultures use
it to flavor a number of dishes, especially soups. Another could be
Houttuynia cordata. The multicolored variety 'Chameleon' is sold in America
as an ornamental, but the roots and leaves are used in stir-fry.
And then there's wasabi, the Japanese horseradish kin, indispensable for
sushi.
