GWA Region III meeting

Title: GWA Region III meeting
Dear Region III members and other interested parties:

Plans for the GWA Region III meeting at the OFA Short Course in July have changed.
Instead of an overnight, GWA will have a meeting at the OFA Short Course on Sunday, July 13, 2003 in Columbus. The brunch or early lunch meeting will welcome GWA members and give a brief overview of the Short Course trade show and programs. We also will explore plans for future Region III meetings.
After the business meeting, GWA members will be able to visit the trade show - one of the largest in the country - or sit in on a seminar or two that might interest them. Two that may relate to garden writers are: "Why Indoor Plantings" and "Marketing Trends: Branding via Publicity."
But the show is really what makes the trip worthwhile. It is a chance to see some of the newest plants, accessories and other products in one large setting.
GWA and OFA leaders are interested in enhancing the relationship between the two organizations and hope garden writers from throughout the area will consider the day trip. Among those expected to attend is Nona Koivula, GWA president.
More details to follow soon. Meantime, please mark July 13 on your calendar. Feel free to contact the regional directors Christine Kelleher (KellehC@yoder.com) or Jo Ellen Meyers Sharp (jemsharp@earthlink.net), if you have questions or comments. Hope to see you in Columbus!
