How about a story on the latest fern hybrids? This is the time of year when people really notice fronds emerging from the ground. The Variegated Foliage Nursery (it's on the web) has some interesting selections.

subscriptions to a European magazine (New Rare and Unusual PLANTS),
but the site does carry news of new plants recently released in the
UK market. I'm sure some of these plants will overlap with the US
