GWA Region III meeting

Title: GWA Region III meeting
Just a reminder that April 10 is the cut-off date for the reduced rate for early registration for the Garden Writers Association's Region III meeting and early reservation rate for the Spring Lake Holiday Inn, Spring Lake, Mich. (800) 788-8411, (616)846-1000.

The early reservation rate for the Holiday Inn is $79/night; after April 10, it will be $89. Meeting rate is $30 for members ($45/non-members) by April 10; $45 ($55/non-members) from April 10 to May 10.

Below is a brief summary. Please see www.gwaa.org for a detailed description and to register. Registration deadline is May 10. Of course, the meeting is open to any GWA member in the area. Non-members are invited, too.

Region III
May 21-22, 2004 - Noon registration and lunch May 21 at the Meijer Gardens, Grand Rapids, Mich., followed by lectures and tours. Depart Grand Rapids for night's accommodation in Spring Lake, Mich., and evening in Grand Haven. On May 22, drive to Spring Meadow Nursery for Tim Wood presentations of new plants and tour of greenhouses. Lunch will be at the home of Spring Meadow Nursery owner, Dale Deppe, and feature a tour of his gardens and private plant collection. Then it's on to Walters Gardens in Zeeland, Mich., for a presentation of new introductions and a tour of display gardens.
