Virginia gardens follow up

I'm back from Virginia & would like to report I made some good contacts with some really wonderful gardeners, thanks to the help I received from this list. Thank you all!
 
First, I as suggested by some of you I went to the website of the Virginia Garden Club at www.gcvirginia.org, and of the Virginia Society of Landscape Designers at www.vsld.org. The former told me that last week, when I was going to VA, was also the big spring garden tour week for gardens all over the state.
 
The latter was the gold mine for me however, since it gave me contact info for the designers, who I figured would really know where the best gardens for my purposes were. I emailed a few of them and got VERY helpful responses from Jack Douglas (www.douglas-assoc.com) and Peggy Krapf at Heart's Ease Landscape and Garden Design in Williamsburg - p*@cs.com.   Jack gave me names & phone numbers for clients of his in Harrisonburg, where I was going to be for a few days, and where I did spend time photographing two fabulous gardens. 
 
Peggy was a virtual encyclopedia about WIlliamsburg. She was phenomenally friendly and helpful, and while I did not actually find what I was looking for in Williamsburg, she is someone I would definitely recommend to anyone needing garden info or even just local info about that area.  
 
So thanks again  - this list rocks!!
