Well, certainly not if you do it with the lack of research or background you

Well, instead of relying on your "knowledge", or lack thereof, you could
have simply read the thread that I was responding to: Dan's (No offense
Dan), where he wrote:  "I dropped out of GWA(A) several years ago, partly
because they weren't doing much for me and partly because they started
essentially selling Quill and Trowel awards."

Sure sounds like it could be about bribery to me, and I know from the
private emails going on behind this thread that I am not the only one who
saw that as a possible interpretaion of it.  Dan was kind enough to clarify
his thinking so we now know he was referring to the fee structure, which we
also know was hiked in order to make the judging process more professional
and streamlined.

Amy's post that started us off was well done, thoughtful and contained much
to think about as have a number that have followed. Let's please keep this
about positive criticism and thoughts and if you must write personal
attacks, either dont hit 'send' after you write them, or send them
privately. Sheesh! (or is that too crude?)

Gene, as you well know, this is not a forum for personal attacks, but then
again that hasn't stopped you in the past - It's hard to believe that you
are still so sore about my defending photographers against your broad,
unjustified attacks last year (or was it two years ago?) that you would go
off like this now. Get over it already.

Can someone PLEASE send us some warm weather so we (at least here in the
northeast) can get outside & do some gardening?!?!
