Re: Nova


If you didn't catch Nova this week (PBS) the show "The First Flower" is  
absolutely spectacular.  Lots of paleobotany but if you are into plant  
exploration there are several segments featuring Dan Hinkley who finds a spot in  China 
where in several square feet he finds herbaceous plant materials that many  of 
us would die for...and it's all growing wild on the roadside.  Dan's  
excitement and enthusiasm is absolutely contagious and makes me yearn for my  days of 
exploration.
