Scott's and sustainability
Shortly after they announced their "organic" Miracle-Gro line, I asked Scott's why they didn't get OMRI listing to prove to everyone that they weren't misusing the word "organic." Their response was amazing: "OMRI listing is a very complex and expensive process."
Aside from the fact that a multi-million-dollar company could surely afford that, it was a simple lie. OMRI listing is neither complex nor expensive, just thorough. Corporate greenwashing, no more, no less.
