Re: [GWL]: Canadian help

Andrew,

Canada no longer has anything left that resembles the US cooperative
extension service. The best advice for gardeners is probably to send them to
a local garden center where, hopefully, educated staff can give them the
advice they need.

On the provincial level, at least here in BC, the pest diagnostic lab won't
accept samples from home gardeners. There is only 1 Vegetable Extensionist
for our entire region and she's pretty much tied up with her work with
commercial growers.

I know the Master Gardeners do a lot of clinics at different nurseries and
events. Sharon would probably have more to add to that.

Donna's website, ICanGarden.com has a place where they can post questions. I
also answer questions from Canadian (and US) gardeners.
