RE: [GWL]: garden tool retailers

I'm not sure such a list is doable: You have some 2000 plus Home Depot
stores, 1000 plus Lowe's stores, 3000 plus hardware stores with gardening
tools, 2000 plus independent power tool dealerships selling and repairing
tools, and over 6000 plus independent garden centers and that's not
including K Mart, WallMart, and QVC television.  There are however, a much
more limited number of mailorder companies selling gardening tools - maybe
20 or so.  That might be the list you are looking for.  The mailorder
nurserymen's association might be a good place to start.  I suspect the
folks on this list collectively get all of them.

and US early next year. Both editions are to include lists of retailers
nationwide and we're having trouble finding the US addresses. I assume they
would mainly be garden centres, as in the UK, and maybe the larger hardware
stores. Do you know if there is one central organization or publication that
would have a listing of US garden tool retailers? Any info or advice would
be much appreciated.
