[GWL]: Organic Style

I just wanted to chime in briefly regarding the original conversation
around Rodale renaming Organic Gardening. I think many recognize that,
as Jeff Ball wrote, the actual idea of organic gardening as Rodale
originally described does not serve a modern gardening audience. Too
bad, but a publishing reality.

Organic Style, however clumsy its title, is the next wave as I see it.
Many of us who are gardeners already understand intuitively the idea of
living organically. We strive to connect with the harmony nature gives
us as a model. We see the need for sustainability in our lives not just
our gardens. In this complex world, living simply is a yearning many
seek and which can be achieved with an organic approach to our lives.
What we do in our gardens, our shopping, our entertainment, our human
and daresay even our spiritual lives needs to be living and connected - organic.

I am not a writer, so my words may not express this as well as I wish;
and although I am not in love with the look of the new Organic Style
magazine, I think there is a definite market for the idea.
