Re: [GWL]: round up

And how about the use of the product Preen??  A very popular radio show heard in Ohio featuring garden questions and answers is hosted by a man who has been touting (for three years) the use of Preen for every little weed in the backyard garden.  People rave about this radio personality and his advice is considered gospel.  Consequently thousands are pouring this herbicide onto their living areas at least twice per year. I mentioned wrapping one's hands around a hoe in my garden column.  Didn't get much response from that.  Penne Curmode, garden columnist for The Delaware Gazette, Del, OH.

Subject: [GWL]: round up

With all the discussion about organics/chemicals/neem, etc. I am curious what everyone thinks about the widespread use of Round Up. My experience is that it has become as common a household product as Windex, and used with as much caution.
