[GWL]: "Organic" - catchword or reality?

Most of the newbie gardeners we encounter say "organic" when they could 
more accurately describe their methods as "well-intentioned".  
<laughing> I agree that Organic may be confused with New Age, 
Vegetarian, Ecocentric and a number of other mis-used labels.  Organic 
Style?  Yeeesh.  Interesting that journalistic application broadens the 
term for use as a general marketing tool, while actual production 
regulations and certifications tighten the use of the term to prevent 
that very abuse.
