currant tomatoes

Hi, All

If anyone is interested, the 'currant' tomato is available from
www.westcoastseeds.com

$2.65 Canadian for lots of seed. They are big sprawling plants, and the
latin name is Lycopersicon pimpinellifolium.

These are the ones Martha Stewart calls "five in a spoon" - so, they are
very small, with the size varying from 1/4" to 1/2" depending on
conditions. Evidently you should prune them down to two main branches,
otherwise they get huge and sprawly. It is a very old variety.

John Scheepers (Kitchen Garden Seeds) also offers red and yellow, both
'currant'.
