Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds ( www.rareseeds.com ) has seeds for round black Spanish radishes that grow to 5 inches across (they say) as well as long black Spanish radishes (9"). I suspect these are the black turnips. Margaret Lauterbach
Has anyone on the list ever seen or heard of a black turnip? My Grandpa said he bought these years ago at a local store. He said they were hot. Since I have decided to grow odd colored vegetables next year (blue potatoes, red potatoes, yellow green beans and carrots, black radish, purple carrots, etc.) I have decided I must have these turnips. However, I cannot locate them, does anyone know where I can find them? Many Thanks! Sheri
