Rhode Island, despite it's small size, is a pretty spread out state. You have to drive long distances to go around all the water, so don't plan to see too much! Having warned you, I'll say that if you have to choose, go to Conway Nursery in Tiverton. Sean Conway is well known and is a genius at containers. He's been written up in many publications and does consulting for Target Stores garden centers. His nursery is small but well worth the trip.
Have fun! Hope it doesn't rain!

I am visiting Rhode Island for the first time this weekend. Any
suggestions for gardens to visit, nurseries etc. would be much
appreciated.
Thank you!
