I've been involved with Plant a Row since its inception, and it's terrific
program that matches vegetable and flower gardeners with hungry people. 
It's as easy as donating your excess to the local food pantry or soup
kitchen.  At the web site, there is even a place where you can find the
address and phone number of such sites in your area.
