Hi all!
I am finally home from the GWA meeting in Chicago and I am delighted to have met so many of my GWL email correspondents there! It was a great meeting but I am glad to be home and wondering when and how I will catch up with everything that is waiting on my desk!
Just before I left for Chicago, I discovered a website that was using one of my articles without permission. I contacted them to notify them that their use of my content is illegal. I gave them the option of paying me or removing the content from their site.
Their response was to do both...they removed it from their site and also asked what I would charge to let them use it.
Seems to me we've discussed this before but I don't find the discussion in our archives. What is the standard fee range for allowing businesses to use writer's content to promote their sales?
Best
Nan
