Hi Sharon,

My first reaction was to jokingly ask what hemisphere the newsletter
   is published in.

A quick Web search shows that it's not a joke:

      http://www.healthinsite.gov.au/news/Daffodil_Day____22nd_August

      "August 22 2003

Today is Daffodil Day, the Cancer Council's major
fundraising event for cancer research, education and
       patient support.

Daffodils and other items will be on sale around
Australia throughout August to raise funds to help
people affected by cancer and to support cancer research."
