Happens to me, too.  I write for 4 newspapers in the Seattle environs and frequently see my column online without my name.  At least the information is out there for folks to read!!!!!

I missed something here.  You say "on of my papers was..."  Do you mean that a paper was stealing your column, or that a paper that buys it wasn't using your byline?

It was suggested a while back that we should occasionally google our name
to see if there is any unauthorized use of our material on the Internet,
and I do that. But today I was looking for something else and
accidentally ran across one of my papers that was putting my column up
every week -- even had it in the index bar -- WITHOUT USING MY NAME!  So
Google wouldn't find it.
