Re: selling your book

Hi, Marty -- I've been wrestling with this issue myself as I'm about ready to launch my site.

The site will have a copies of the books' covers and blurbs. Initially, the plans are to have a link to booksellers. Part of the problem is that I can't sell my book for as cheap as some bookstores, Sam's Clubs or Costcos. However, the premium I can offer is a signed or enscribed copy and that's kind of where I'm thinking I could sell the book on line myself for a reasonably reduced price, but not as reduced as the retailers. The signature would value-added.

No decision, yet.

Thanks for raising the questions.

This question is for authors who have their own Web sites.

Do you sell your own books on your Web site? Do you provide a link to an online bookseller? Or do you provide information about your books (perhaps the cover and a blurb) and encourage visitors to your site to go out and buy the books elsewhere?

Thanks.
Marty Wingate
