Re: help, voles!

If there's no noticeable damage to plants then you may have shrews.   These 
scurry about in the leaf litter and mulch but they eat insects and they  are 
not rodents.  Much smaller than voles and moles, very high metabolism  so they 
always look jittery, won't run from you...at least most of the time and  the 
softest fur you've every touched.
