Donna,

One other thing your visitor might do is to take in the commercial  plantings 
in San Diego. Many of the big hotels there have extensive plantings  that are 
a joy to see. And even some other commercial enterprises have good  
plantings. Many of the big hotels are located right off  Highway 163,  Camino de la 
Reina.
