Re: List Meeting at Raleigh

Doug et al -

I think combining with the TweetUp is a good idea - but I'd check with
Helen Yoest first.

An alternate idea is to use an etablished GWA mtg event that is pretty
under-utilized as far as networking and just say those on GWL find each other
there. For instance, at one of the early breakfast mornings - say to GWLers
that we will all sit at the back 5 tables and "look for the red ballons."
Make sense?

Another idea or additional one anyway is for write "GWL" somewhere on our
badges so we can find each other -- or maybe even invest in a sticker to
"brand" us in the mob. Or maybe we say everyone on GWL "wear a purple scarf"
on Friday or some other color/wardrobe item :-).

Anyway, thoughts at the end of a long day...

Sincerely,
Kathy Jentz

Doreen just emailed me (as co-list owner) telling me she wasn't going to be
able to get to Raleigh for GWA this year. I'm going so I said I'd check
with the list and see if they want to have a get-together at some point
during the conference.

I understand there's a big tweetup being organized for the Wed night so th
at
might be taking the place of this meeting for some folks.

But bottom line - if enough people want to get together from this list,
I'll
check it out and try to organize something.

So - if you want to attend - drop me a note offlist or respond here and
we'll take it from there.

Doug
