Re: Email Address List Hijacked


Sorry, I was cleaning up e-mails that I hadn't read and didn't get this
whole thread.  Did someone warn people that it takes some bad software on
your computer, (malware/virus/Trojan) to use your e-mail client to send
messages.  So you want to run some reputable! software to look for that and
get help cleaning it.  McAfee, Trend Micro (has pccillin on it's web site
that you can use for free last I knew), Symantec are some reputable names.
Be careful, some of the freeware tools to help you clean actually install
their own bad stuff.

I don't think that the really bad viruses would alert you to their presence
by doing that.  They are trying to capture your banking IDs and passwords,
credit card numbers, etc.   

But ignoring the presence of malicious software is never a good idea.
