Re: East Coast Earthquake
I was surprised to feel it here in Georgia. Nothing happened except that
picture frames tilted and a flowerpot fell off the deck rail and broke, but
we're a long way away. I thought that it was the quarry operation about 15
miles away, and was going to call and fuss at them for blasting when the
weather conditions weren't right. Then I realized that was impossible, so
turned on the radio and heard the news.
My sister lives west of Richmond, but is travelling. I hope that everything
is ok when she gets back. The house is brick and there's a chimney. I know
that the phones were out there when I tried to call my father, who lives
nearby.
