2. The trend here is also downhill. I had to open up the former garden page
(runs 1x a week) to include TV- and other non-gardening stories on a regular
basis. Gardening stories are no longer guaranteed top billing on the page
(as they used to be). And even though I'm "garden editor," I'm primarily a
production staffer; most of my time is spent copy editing and paginating.
